In establishing the IPI-Award, the objective is to record the names of those individuals through whose efforts patent information has been brought to flourish through its various stages of development. In this way, the patent information industry has the opportunity to pay tribute to these very special people and, in doing so, highlight the underpinning role of patents information to technological developments worldwide.”
